How I’d respond if Phil Collins asked me to name a film he’s been in.

Going back in time and convincing Genesis they need to play every song they’d ever recorded live in 1977 so we had the whole discography sounding as good as Seconds Out

A Peanuts comic strip by Charles Schulz from September 7, 1956.

Charlie Brown walks behind Violet, yelling "CHANGE YOUR MIND!"
He yells louder, "CHANGE YOUR MIND!"
As she walks off, he shakes his fist and yells, "CHANGE YOUR MIND, I SAY!!!"
He walks away with his hands in his pockets saying, "It's almost impossible to get people to change their minds these days!"

I like this one more every time I see it.

Didn’t want to say that I’d heard it before the Official Release due to getting overexcited and some VPN shenanigans but the new Cardiacs single is absolutely brilliant stuff. Cannot wait for the album next month!

First time at the Windmill in Brixton and as someone on gig 23 out of at least 37 this year I’m now convinced I’m still not going to enough shows. £10 tickets! Enough said.

Goodnight everyone I hope you all have a restful relaxing sleep
When you try not to think about something it sticks
Just visualise the thoughts floating away like a balloon
Out of your head into the sky
Be free
Let go

STOP SPREADING THE FALSE REPORT that Ozzy Osbourne, Hulk Hogan and Chuck Mangione all simultaneously shot each other like at the end of Reservoir Dogs. They were not in the same location and passed of natural causes.

I don't like to speak badly of people. I have grown up thinking and being told that if you cannot say something nice about someone, you should not say anything at all. But I must break that rule in this case because I hate Hulk Hogan very much. He is a big ugly goon and I want to squash his face.

I think the fact that Sabbath were, at least on Master of Reality, a Christian band lyrically (I mean After Forever is right there) strikes me as why Ozzy could sound absolutely struck by the fear of the demonic forces described in the lyrics

Ozzy was the greatest metal vocalist of all time. He had it all - the power, and the absolute, bone chilling terror of a man who had seen all of what he was singing about, all contained in his absolutely electric voice. Rest in peace. You will never, ever be bettered.

my album released. I’ve been working on it. So much. And now it’s out! Its “a cosmic rock in opposition/hyperpop/avant-splurge meltdown” with “a novel's worth of painstakingly (and densely) plotted lyrics” and I would be extremely grateful if u could listen……

Awful Kate Bush confession: as good as the original Wuthering Heights is, I’m a big fan of the re-recorded. I think Kate’s more mature vocals sound great on the track.

The best part about The Mix era is that those are the versions they’ve been touring on ever since, and they absolutely rule

Just added to the word pile: Field Music's Doors tribute band side hustle; the perceived value of music set against that of a flat white; the accusation that charging £100 for a Nick Drake box set is "social cleansing". Why it's all connected!

As expected, Neil Young was amazing tonight - about 10x better than his (already great) Glastonbury show. Pulled out all the stops, heard pretty much everything (except Heart of Gold) I really wanted to hear. Absolutely wonderful.
