Incredible dialogue and delivery throughout. The cast surrounding Oscar Isaac are killing it from start to finish. I wanna sit through all the quick monologues and biting arguments all over again. It feels like a work of poetry.

Saw Frankenstein, it's good. I think this is such an interesting film to watch for anyone who's been following GDT long enough. Because you can feel him finally get to apply ideas and concepts we've been shown for 20+ years taking hold in the story he's wanted to tell this whole time. It's beautiful

There are other video games that have done this. But I can't really recall the last time it felt this profoundly "oh crap" as you realize that more has been impacted than just a moment in the story. It's like the implications of finding another Halo installation in Halo 2.

Man, STALKER 2's mid-game gets *really* good. It takes a while to ramp up to it if you enjoy the game world more, but just when the game starts to feel a little shallow, GSC tears it all apart on you in exactly the sort of a way fans will appreciate. It'll be tough for newcomers but that's the point

A view of my hard drive's root directory. Several folders are ones I've put there like "Steam Library", "Video Backups", "Video Projects", "WAV Backups". But amidst it all is a folder in all caps reading "THE BROTHERHOOD". I really didn't expect that to be there so it just caught me off guard.

Been playing Stasis: Bone Totem and it's creepy and scary but maybe the scariest thing was a directory being created by the game on my drive's root and the dev is "The Brotherhood" so it just stood up out of no where on me. I was like "What is this creepypasta thing doing here?"

and a whole lot of neat features or slight changes, some of which are being done *despite* there already being fantastic solutions to genre traps in the game before this launch. From is experimenting with their gameplay as other genres, Neowiz is busy seeing how this genre's well is barely tapped.

So not only did Neowiz suddenly drop Overture yesterday, but it came with a boss challenge mode and a LOT of QoL features including adding a new, more granular respec (amazing idea), some weird way to get items that were binary lock-offs before, useful info and features in new menus to streamline...

Out of context if you haven't played it yet but I'm playing Venba for the first time and I'm just...devastated? Gutted? I don't even know the words right now honestly.

I know the reactive take is "what did you expect?" but I kinda struggle to forget that five years ago managers and business leaders of all sorts were like "our business is permanently transformed". I struggle because I have watched businesses, year over year, decide that actually nothing changed.

I know it's not true but some days, I kinda feel like video game devs are going outta business cause it takes too long for me to get to buying their game. But then there's too many on the wishlist. It's nuts. Video games are awesome, too many cool games to count.

I know the big "Stand by Ukrainian devs" story last year was STALKER 2. But they're not the only Ukrainian devs out there. One of my favorites in recent years is Frogwares and they have a Kickstarter for The Sinking City 2. A Sherlock-Cthulhu-type game.

I think one of the things that bothers me about my work is the people asking me to justify my positions and cynicism against the big AI companies. For some reason the billion dollar companies are treated as if they're always acting in good faith and with good intentions.
