Chicago Botanic Garden is lit.

I had one of those mornings with support. Opened a case and closed it before they could even lay hands on it.

Chicagoland map showing the progress of the hike so far. 98.54 miles. The northern half of the loop. On the west, it begins near the Brookfield Zoo. The progress closely follows the Des Plaines River north into Lake County. From the east, the progress starts at near beaches close to downtown and heads north. Eventually meeting up with the UP-N rail for several miles.

The full complete 200 mile course route. At the north is Lake County, and at the southern most part is Chicago Heights.

After two years of on and off progress, I can finally say I'm ~50% through #hiking the 200mi #Chicago #OuterBelt trail.

The biggest of shout-outs goes to @tomvii.bsky.social for inspiring this madness with his PAC-TOM project.
