The article is part of the mixed-methods REACTOR project funded by the Independent Research Fund Denmark analyzing citizens' resistance to (or acceptance of) expertise across 5 countries (US, UK, Netherlands, Czech Republic and Denmark) in both surveys and in-depth qualitative interviews 5/5

We also found that populists are more likely to judge expert advice as poorly reasoned and as politically biased, which seems to be what drives their judgements about when to listen to expertise 4/5
