How are you starting off your 2025?
Managed a few runs so far, a couple i've convinced my youngest to cycle alongside me in this cold weather which has been nice! Got to get ready for the 50km run in May!

How often will you alternate your shoes, do you do it based on the type of run or just on frequency?
18.12.2024 13:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Midweek Tempo, mostly doing long-ish runs at a steady state, with one tempo a week.
Will add some intervals in the new year.
With my food fatigue for lunches.
I've been alternating my lunches, last week I had rice with chicken & teriyaki brocolli. This week it's avocado and egg sandwiches on sourdough.
What is your go to for lunch?
Do you run after hard days?
Would you do a long slow run after a tempo run day?

16.12.2024 18:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Last week before Christmas!
Managed to keep around ~30miles average weekly the last few weeks, will be keeping it this week and then having a little down week over the holidays.
Last year I had more cycling mileage in 2023, need to add some more cross training in 2025

12.12.2024 17:13 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Mid week tempo. Working on my volume building, trying to keep a 30mile a week average until May, although i'm sure there will be some set backs with festive period.

What would you like to receive as a runner? #runchat
Snowy runs sound fun!
Do you find the toned down training allows for recovery and when your back to usual schedule itβs easy to ramp back up?
Thanks @stevemagness.bsky.social this was really insightful!

09.12.2024 13:00 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Good Morning! How is everyone doing?
Got a 10k in easy run this morning, how is your monday looking?
Do you stack long runs? Would you do a long run today and again tomorrow?
I did 10 miles yesterday and again today, felt ok, started to feel a little tight in my glute toward the end, but wasn't uncomfortable, just tight.
Long runs, what is your considered time or distance for a long run?
Do you prefer gels or chews? I know its subjective, just curious what you all like.
I take a mix and I like the Veloforte ones, the chews are awesome and the gels don't have any fake synthetic taste
Coffee or Tea?
That is the question
5k tempo today, 8min/miles at around ~160bpm avg HR
Feels like itβs super high when I see folks running 7min miles at 120bpm. But we are all different. I need to stop comparing.
Are you up early training before work or after work?
I'm quite lucky in a sense, I work afternoons/evenings so I get to run in the morning, but it does mean I don't get to do any double days.
Do you have a coffee/caffeine cut off time?
I like to stop around midday, maybe 2pm at the latest when i'll switch to decaf if I fancy a coffee.
We are into December, have you got your decorations up?

I've gone and done an easy 4 miles this morning, a bit of a switch up to what I was planning, due to some things at home, but it's ok; I managed to do one of my best rosettas so far!
02.12.2024 11:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Morning, it's Monday!
What is your goal for this week?
Will you share what youβve learnt? Either on the podcast or on a blog?
I assume itβs a more in depth study, but be curious on some high levels what you learnt
Rest is just as important as training. Give your body the recovery it deserves. π #RestDay
