Amazon's anti-consumer bullshit has intensified over the last year. Removing downloads for owned books was awful, especially as someone who doesn't have a consistent internet connection. Recently they introduced something to lock you out of side loaded books that don't exist on Amazon stores.

What a good time to say that most kindle models are currently jailbreakable, even with the latest firmware. Take some ownership over your device because Amazon doesn't want you to own it or have any control over it.
