Harrell’s folks might be spending buckets of money on the Seattle mayoral race, but I’ve had multiple door knockers from Katie Wilson and nothing from Harrell.
Excited to vote for Wilson & hopeful she’ll be my next mayor.

It’s such a classic scene, the bicycle in the tornado turning into the witch on her broom!

Heritage raised the money through a private investment in public equity (PIPE) financing, which is a means for public companies to sell shares to select investors at a discount. According to an Aug. 25 news release, $95 million will be cash and $128.8 million will be in the cryptocurrency token $IP, the native token of the blockchain company Heritage, founded in 2011, makes whiskeys, vodkas, gins, rums and canned cocktails.
A screenshot of the heritage distilling website, a blurb reads: By aligning its reserves with Story’s AI-native infrastructure for registering, licensing, and monetizing IP, Heritage gains exposure to the biggest opportunities disrupting the asset class.
“distillery raises money using crypto” is … a real thing?!? 🥴 (via seattle Inno)
Personally, I don’t care about my whisky having “exposure to the biggest opportunities disrupting the asset class.”
Evergreen.

Modern day street view from about the same point.
Now there are: trolley buses, a light rail station just over the bridge, two nearby bike trails, an intersection with a major state highway a block away, and lots of cars.
A screenshot of a post from “Citizen Portal News Washington.” The image shows a blond woman, the post & linked article refer to this person as he/him/his

TLDR: AI-generated news erases women’s achievements.
Recently a woman was appointed as Interim Executive of King County, WA. She is the first woman in that role & local news mentioned it.
I then saw this AI “news” account generated an article…repeatedly calling the exec he/him/his.

The #pwhl hockey game in Seattle had great energy!
Unsure how they decided that Boston would be considered the home team, though.

There is the Transit Go App, where you can buy tickets for buses, light rail, etc. No tapping & need to buy the tickets through the app.
(Definitely not the same thing as being able to tap the iphone directly like in many major cities.)

I took a vacation and United showed ads for Jira in my entertainment & the airport had ads for Anthropic.

Yes, looks like you found a bus depot. The buses at the 3 o’clock position match the colors for King County Metro RapidRide (red & yellow) and regular (green & yellow) bus service. Enjoy your stay!
