J. D. Vance Fails a Simple Moral Test The vice president welcomes anti-Semites into the Republican coalition.

J. D. Vance has β€œclearly made the calculation that anti-Semites are part of the Republican Party’s base, and he can’t afford to shunt them to the side as he plots his own presidential bid,” Franklin Foer argues.

It got drowned out in all the good news from last night, but Boston Mayor Michelle Wu became the youngest person to be reelected in the city's history.

She ran unopposed because her opponent--Patriots owner Bob Kraft's son--withdrew a few months ago after realizing he had no hope of winning.

Murder is wrong.

Pogroms are wrong.

Using a murder to incite a pogrom against a small and vulnerable group in society is wrong.

(If I’m not mistaken, an assassination was the excuse for the wave of mob but state-sanctioned violence in Russia in 1881 that gave us the term β€œpogrom.”)

Boston mayor race expected to narrow to Trump adversary Michelle Wu and son of Patriots owner Kraft Boston Mayor Michelle Wu is expected to take a crucial step to securing a second term when voters go to the polls.

If Kraft is this far behind after spending tons of his own born rich money on ads that offer nothing positive to Bostonians, maybe he should get the hint. Boston likes its mayor and doesn't need another entitled gazillionaire who thinks he knows better. #Boston #WuTrain

This Democrat Proves You Can Be Principled, Effectiveβ€”and Popular Zohran Mamdani has pointed to Boston Mayor Michelle Wu as a model. There are many good reasons why.

In one of the debates in New York mayor's race, Mamdani (and Lander) both praised Boston Mayor Michelle Wu. She has been one of the most passionate voices defending cities and urban life as Trump trashes them. And she's stayed popular in way Brandon Johnson has not. newrepublic.com/article/1997...

Senate Democrats could have united behind Mangi and called out the GOP smear against him as religious bigotry. Instead, ~3 Dems decided to buy into that smear (and Schumer declined to fight), and now Bove has a 3d Circuit seat.

There's an obvious lesson here...
