Meta Tries to Bury a Tell-All Book Mark Zuckerberg might be in his post-fact-checking-era. But that hasn’t stopped Meta from going after the author of Careless People.

My question to Meta is, why bother to roll out the cannons to blast this tome? The effort to neutralize the book seems quaint and futile. For one thing, NDAs do not cancel out the first amendment, @stevenlevy.bsky.social writes.

This is unfortunate but it’s true. Working in news, I quickly learned most people don’t care unless it’s literally/personally affecting them. For example, traffic closures, severe weather, their kid’s school closing, utility bills going up, etc.
We desperately need to build our community ties.
