Writer of Richard Rorty fan fiction. Committed to epistemic humility, but without confidence in the outcomes. I never know what to do, but always make a decision.
Tied for 217th all time!
10.10.2025 22:28 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The article says different ABS systems give different calls on that pitch. Some see a strike, others a ball.
Frankly, Iโd be all for ditching the rectangle on the screen. Letโs let fans argue bad calls on the same subjective basis the umps and players are making the calls.
It took me 20 years to figure out Gator and Dewey were different people. In my defense โฆ mustaches.

09.10.2025 23:23 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Wait, both #SlowHorses AND #TheMorningShow are running plots where terrorists are embedded among climate activists? Either #AppleTv needs better inter-project communication, or they have an agenda.

09.10.2025 04:54 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I suspect the etymology is modern French, but I wouldnโt presume the locals pronounce it remotely Francophone. In Wisconsin the fur tradersโ native tongue is mostly detectable (to me) in the written names of places.

08.10.2025 23:10 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Letโs start a #hashtag #thisamericanlife where we talk about our #american #lives right now. What happened to #you #today? What was #good about your day? 08.10.2025 23:04 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0In s2e2 of #TheDiplomat, Stuart wakes up after the bombing and his memory is inconsistent with the events in a way that shields him from the tragedy of Ronnieโs death. Iโm impressed by the verisimilitude of the #writing in that scene. It feels deeply #human to shape memory in the wake of tragedy.

You forgot the most important part.
There was a brief window of about 2-3 weeks when we all understood J6 was a violent insurrection instigated by the president. It took a few weeks for the propaganda machine to land on a counter-narrative that took hold.
A march on Chicago by 100,000 nonviolent protesters might break thru the noise.
Wouldnโt it be nice to have health insurance?

06.10.2025 21:13 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Graceland is on my short list of perfect albums. So is Abbey Road.
Anyhow, the point is lots of artists in popular music have been not only sustaining excellence at that stage in their careers, but many have been reaching new heights with 10+ albums under their belts.
Abbey Road is the hands down winner if itโs truly #12.
Blues for Allah is the Grateful Dead.
The others are the Stones, who clearly went on a spree of terrific songwriting between albums #10-#15.
Depending on how you count, Beggars Banquet or Let it Bleed or Exile on Main St.
Blues for Allah.
Let it Be (or Sgt. Pepper if youโre counting US releases).
The dumbest convention in #baseball is to reset the rate stats in the #boxscore for the #mlb #postseason. Iโm looking at the the #Brewers, a team Iโve not seen this year, and the box score tells me absolutely nothing about how good any of these players are.
