One with valuable expertise, too.
Reform UK was created to make Brexit happen.
Nigel Farage spent 27yrs promising Brexit would make British people richer.
Now both Nigel Farage & Reform Party officials say Brexit, their main policy, is making Brits poorer.
ANYONE WHO STILL BACKS REFORM IS A TRAITOR TO THE UK!
Perhaps Labour might want to use this image in their next election campaign?
10.08.2025 07:24 โ ๐ 70 ๐ 37 ๐ฌ 5 ๐ 1The threat to our society is not from asylum seekers in small boats. Itโs from politicians and media cynically whipping up fear and prejudice, labelling them all as criminals, inciting hatred against people for where and what theyโve fled from.
It must stop. For all our sakes. Itโs deeply sinister.
You may have missed this.

Seeing Trumpโs bullying tactics and blatant disregard for allies around the world, can you imagine how he treated the girls on Epstein Island or the Lolita Express, he would have been absolutely monstrous.

We tell of the refugee children inside the hotel terrified by chants of โsend them out!โ

No arrests of course.

Staggeringly embarrassing and shaming for Starmer.

I was back and forth there in the late 90s (big project connected to the new airport).
An amazing place - not least the food. Some brilliant Indian restaurants too.
Yes - every Chinatown I look for that restaurant. It's pretty infallible.

I remember Interrailing in the late 80s and it was anywhere between about 12 and 40 โฌ (equivalent) per night, B & basic B (except Munich- very good b'fast)
Venice was the 40 - but so worth it.

Definitely one of the highlights of some otherwise arduous weeks out there.
When I used to go to Hong Kong we always talked to our local staff about where to go.
A favourite was "plastic city" - a collection of food stalls up on the Gold Coast.
Fabulous local Cantonese food. None of us ever deciphered the bill - but it was cheap enough not to care.
A menu from a restaurant in Hvar, Croatia.
That's amazing! It's great when you get something memorable like that at such a great price.
The trouble with staying in tourist places is you get a pretty standardised tourist menu.
I looked at restaurants in Split and Hvar and they seemed pricey - but not outrageous. And yes, lots of interesting seafood.
Better value in some of the towns on Brฤc - but nowhere was inexpensive.
Prices were in โฌ and the old Croatian currency.
How was the language? Did most people speak some English? I don't recall many communication problems in Croatia.
