Yle näki lopulliset kriteerit vanhojen metsien suojeluun – kova kritiikki ei näytä kääntäneen hallituksen päätä
Hallitus ei ole muuttanut ikää ja kuolleen puun määrää koskevia rajoja, joiden perusteella vanhat metsät valikoidaan suojeluun.
Tämä on ollut poikkeuksellinen prosessi ja mielestäni lopputulos on skandaali. Metsäyhtiöidemme vastuullisuusväitteet eivät kestä nyt alkavaa metsäsotien aikaa jolloin jokainen varttuneempi leimikko on potentiaalinen riitakohde.

New York’s Transit Agency Approves $9 Congestion Pricing Toll
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority approved a revised congestion pricing plan for Manhattan that President-elect Donald Trump has threatened to terminate once he takes office.
It’s official — New York’s transit agency approves congestion pricing.
Finally.
The new $9 toll is too low, but is set to increase to the original & more strategic $15 charge by 2031 (too slow). The funds are badly needed to finance smart transit infrastructure.
