It was so sweet! Mark said he’d done some yipping last week but for such a little dog (currently under 5kg) he suddenly has a big deep bark + he is ABSOLUTELY not sure what to make of it!

He is a complete dote. Doesn’t chew things (ignored the pompoms on my slippers), no accidents in the house while I was there; little enough to still be floppy when you pick him up 😻 Just this morning discovered that he can bark 😻

Earlier today on our walk in Nottingham, Arno the 5mo dachshund puppy, transfixed by (I think) a tripe chew 😻

Am laughing. Well, his husband + I went out in the morning for our Day Out in Derby leaving him at home to do Christmas cake related things + later when we were at the post-dinner snifters stage of the evening he produced a box of freshly made brownies - surprise! Also what a gem 🤎

Am now at the ‘so cosy in bed I cannot leave it to brush my teeth + put the lights off’ stage of the soirée why must I suffer where are these promised robot servants why does the future evade us so cruelly 🤖

I had to request an extra blanket today after it not being quite warm enough (for me) in this house last night 😳

After epic dinner at Zaap Thai Street Food Nottingham (SO GOOD), home for David’s surprise brownies in front of Strictly. Nightcap time. Him: well yes I do have brandy, but it’s only cooking brandy, I was soaking the Christmas cake fruit today. Me: HAVE YOU MET ME give me at least half a tumbler 😻

I tell you what - clattering off a great chunk of thumbnail by slamming it in the freezer drawer, then forgetting + running it under hot water is a GREAT WAY to realise you busted it off right down to the quick 🤢😵‍💫😳
