Totally understand if virtual is too big of a task - I'm just at a non-profit with a very tight budget, so I'm not sure we'd be able to swing it this year if there's travel. :(

Taking a community college class as an adult is a major lesson in humility. I'm on an extended family trip this weekend and just realized I left my homework back home. It's due tomorrow night, and for whatever reason "I'm an adult" and "I have a life and a job" are not valid excuses?? HUH??

it has been so frustrating. I knew some of my own friends' general allegiances, but seeing people finally feel "free" enough to express how they actually feel (very excited) has been so disheartening.

Does anyone have any recommendations for what to put protein powder in that are NOT a shake or a "protein ball"?

I've never tasted a powder I liked in liquid form, and I don't really like the texture of protein balls, but I'd really like to up my intake.

I played my first TTRPG in 8th grade—would have been around 2014—in D20 Modern! That said, if we want to be pedantic (read: more fun!!) and not include systems that are just 5e reskins, I believe my first truly alternative game was Lancer in 2022!

Might post more of these later if anyone's interested, but all that to say - as a neurodivergent adult, it feels really rewarding (but also frustrating it took so long to find coping skills) to look back and see my hard work at figuring organization out has really paid off in some noticeable ways.

(This also makes folding laundry easier because everything basically goes in the same place, folded in the same way, instead of having to make 1000 separate piles of clothing that go in 1000 different places.)

I'm possibly the worst person at remembering to do laundry, but you'd never know because I bought one of these things, labelled each bag with "drawer," "hang up" "linens/towels," and "socks + underwear," and now when I'm out of something I can just run the appropriate load.

I pulled out a Tide pen the other day for a friend who spilled their drink - & had to explain that I bought like 10 once & just put them in every bag or purse I own, because I would never *remember* to grab one on my way out the door otherwise.

So much of becoming an adult for me has felt like discovering enough "life hacks" that I realize, in hindsight, that I must *look* like I'm functioning well to people on the outside.
