The Studio, Seth Rogen's new movie-biz comedy series on Apple, went from "Hey, this is good!" to "Oh, this is great" for me in just two episodes. Can't wait to see the rest of it.

THE STUDIO (Apple TV+) is a hilarious and accurate depiction of what would actually happen if someone from Film Twitter became head of a major Hollywood film studio: a complete and utter catastrophe that would lay waste to that studio’s goodwill and cultural legacy.

Highly recommended.

The second episode of The Studio is one of the best gimmicky episodes of TV I’ve ever seen.

This is what revisionist history looks like, in real time. And this also is why it might appear that archaeologists and historians have to dig deep to discover the existence of powerful women and marginalized groups -- because their legacies are so often erased.

The Takeaway?

When the crew is happy it shows on screen. These guys were the absolute nicest, most down to earth people I've ever met. Not a weird Hollywood ego in sight on this set, at any level. And it shows.

3) THE LEADERSHIP!

S&E promoted former assistant Frida Perez to write / EP on the series, alongside Huyck & Gregory show running.

Although a small writing team, they were very inclusive. I was involved in every meeting and even got a chair at monitors, which embarrassingly meant the world to me..

2) Wrong! This set was A BLAST.

Even during our most complex shots, Seth and Evan assured the vibes were immaculate. Seth's iconic laugh at playback became our victory bell. We were all laughing and having fun.

Not to mention, the daily food trucks and amazing snacks made us crew feel like kings.

1) THE CINEMATIC APPROACH

Rogen and Goldberg took a visually stylized approach to this project. Every scene is a oner, resulting in a highly choreographed technique, each scene capturing Hollywood's raw intensity and mesmerizing tension.

Pulling that off sounds stressful, right?
