Very funny to be stunned that everyone hates the roving band of masked murderers even though that is the plot of 80% of all movies.

This is a nuanced issue. Have those people been enacting incredible harm prior to their change of heart? Have they been actively attacking or dismissing those who did know as doomers or hysterical? Because then the proper reaction is “welcome friend, I think you have some apologies to make.”

It's not possible to reconcile with people who advocate for and support a system which is directly harming the rest of us.

The execution of Alex Pretti is playing so badly because you can look at his actions and life story - his last act was helping, boy scout, athlete, health care worker to veterans - and compare those to the men who killed him and know which you would want to be your son, brother, father, uncle.
