This very much feels like advocacy for this invasion of privacy. Why does Welker think this is appropriate? Should we start a campaign to force HER to turn over all of her loan documents, all of her payroll expense account statements, all of her political contributions, all of her investments?

This is the problem with the media focus on โ€œwhere does crime exist at what levelsโ€, or exercises in โ€œwhataboutismโ€. The existential question is whether we have local police address crime, or the military. Sending the military is WRONG and ILLEGAL, no matter how much crime there is.

Have you noticed that the NYT is using more and more photos of DJT which present him in a heroic or domineering POV? www.nytimes.com/2025/07/16/u...

Boveโ€™s arrogance is appalling. heโ€™s attempting to extend the Trump immunity argument to all levels of government (federal state and local) in their executive and police functions. It it โ€œinterferesโ€ with their jobs they cannot be prosecuted. Bullshit!

The Southern California congressmen who voted yes on the immigration bill either just flipped a republican seat this past election or close general election win. I am appalled by most of the provisions of the bill so I am disappointed by my congressmanโ€™s vote (Levin) but I understand the politics.

You appear to have the wrong idea of what โ€œsovereign immunityโ€ is. It does not make the president immune from criminal prosecution. The concept is that a government is immune from civil suit unless that government has enacted a law making itself potentially liable under the claims of the suit.
