Brightly colored stamps from a variety of colonies. Amidst them is a black power fist punching up through the stamps and disrupting them. Yellow matte, black frame.

I made this shortly after George Floyd was killed. All of these are stamps from colonies, mostly British, but not all. I call it Punching Up. #ArtAdventCalendar

Oh yeah, my cleats are essential walking wear today.

We're having a rainy night on top of all of our snow. It's supposed to turn to freezing rain and then snow by morning.

I did a quilt that was all hexagons during the heart of the pandemic. It was very time consuming.

Loved the marine iguanas so much more than I expected to. The blue footed boobies as well. So personable.

A cartoon. Two dogs and their people are meeting in the park. One dog resembles Edward Gorey's Doubtful Guest: He is all black, with a long snout, big eyes, a scarf, and Converse sneakers. His person says, "He's a 'gorey doodle.'"

For Halloween: this Harry Bliss cartoon. (He's not on here, I don't think.)

This is amazing. If I weren't allergic to tattoo ink, I would have a tattoo of the Doubtful Guest on my right calf.

I'm so fascinated by this style. I love it.

Quilt is the image of a dark brown and back cat sitting on a ledge beside a row of three small potted plants. Sharp green leaves and stems in varying greens and purples, in white pots with colourful prints. The two tiered ledge spans the width of the bottom. Top layer is being on top of a grey concrete coloured ledge. Cat is looking off to the left at a small orange butterfly in the darkish blue sky with appearance of small light clouds. On the top right quarter, the quilting creates the outline of a sun and gently waving beams radiating out.

Foundation paper piecing. Made for my dad’s wife soon after he had passed this Spring. I combined elements of two patterns and made the cat to look like her beloved cat, ItsyBitsy whom has since passed as well. ❤️

This is amazing. The sun is perfection.

It looks so surprised!

Love it. Very calming.

A purplish blackish background. Sea plants with fish eggs clinging to them dangle from the top left. Fire coral peeks in from the top right. Diagonally across the canvas is a pathway marked by yellow larval looking things. Through the parkway baby red jellyfish travel: one way ahead of the group, one retreating, and one that has broken through the larval pathway and is hearing of in its own direction. On the bottom right is another coral, this one blue, and bottom center a curious octopus arm reaches out.

US Army Colonel Charles Young became a National Park Superintendent in 1903. After leading troops with distinction abroad, he supervised the build & protection of Yosemite & Sequoia national parks.

Young's father had fled enslavement to join the US Army & fight for freedom during the Civil War.
