MSNBC has become the land of bewilderingly tone-deaf programming decisions. They dump Reid and keep obnoxious Sanders. They promote Psaki despite lots of evidence that viewers just don't click with her. They cling to the threesome format that bombed with Menendez, Sanders and Steele.

They needed a seasoned journalist who's also an experienced broadcaster in this role. Alex Wagner was a step in that direction, but the underwhelming Psaki is just someone to whom Cutler is partial. You can't let that kind of blindness drive the most important programming decision of the season.
