I introduced my Turkish coworker to static spray yesterday, her skirt was trying to be pants and I could tell she was uncomfortable.
As I sprayed her down, she said, 'You mean there's a product for this problem?' 'Yeah, this is anti-static spray!'

There's lots of signage and associated debris in the Scott EB bike lane, on the west half. Plow operators will most likely just plow around it all.
Sure would be nice if this city had safety standards.

Oh hey #ottbike, just a reminder: if you're riding EB on Scott from Churchill to about Smirle today, there's lots of signage and associated debris, as well as a hubcap somewhere, in the bike lane. Plus the gravel at Winona. The snow is gonna be an issue.

Yep, there's like, 5 stores maybe, that I specifically shop at in the whole neighbourhood. The only other redeeming quality is the park extending from Patterson Creek to Bank.

With construction, I won't be heading there for a while.

I don't though, cuz strobe lights make it very difficult to see a person clearly and gauge how far they are away. And then if that rider encounters a person, do they switch their light setting? Probably not.
People say it makes them more visible, but I disagree.

No the fuck they are not.

Facing a white strobe is completely blinding to others, and strobes don't allow others to gauge where you are and how fast you are moving accurately.

This is a hill I will (probably) die on (because I'll topple over the edge from being blinded by strobe lights).

Literally JUST thinking as I was scrolling: I wonder if the front light I just bought has a seizure setting, so I can give pay-back to other cyclists who insist on blinding others with their strobe lights...

What is with drivers who pull out into traffic directly into the path of oncoming vehicles? I've noticed it happening A LOT.

Taking the bus to work (bike to pick up later), bus is 11mins late, and my sealed coffee mug opened in my knapsack pocket and poured half my coffee on the floor before I noticed.
