I think this whole thing exposed the two biggest weakness of the left: progressives being blind to their privilege and fighting over nothing at all.

If we had been discussing in person, I would have understood your point much faster, and a civilised discussion would have ensued. Same thing with Ximena's bizzare way of bringing up an important issue.

Most of what you're complaining about applies directly to your attitude in a bluesky spat we had a few months ago, before you finally explained your point instead on relying on telling me to read what you wrote... The common denominator is the medium if communication, which is mediocre.
