I'm trying really hard not to be a doomer, and I don't think it's all over. There is still a path out. But the road to rebuild what's been destroyed is long and will require immense will to traverse.

What's so cool about longlines is it also carried just normal, everyday, long distance phone calls. Most people had no idea their call was being routed through hardened switching sites. There's a legacy of microwave horns and troposcatter reflectors for those who know where to look.
