I miss having a little site to share photos of birds and like other people's photos of birds.

Unfortunately, the answer to "are the straights OK?" Seems to be a resounding "NO"

I appreciate all of the work being done about Sora and other video gen AI, but some of this shit is a cognitohazard and there should be a way to flag it as such.

he fact that the President is, for all practical purposes,

Going through the final chapters and ending of Cyberpunk 2077 made me confront my own mortality in a way very few books have. If that doesn't qualify it as art then I don't know what does.

Based on the "oops all scheming viziers" modus operandi of the admin, I feel like this is the most likely reason for Trump coming in

Reminds me of 'And there will come soft rains' by Ray Bradbury.

Either the upstairs neighbors have invested in some new concrete shoes, or elephants have moved in. My god.

Oh 100%. If you just want to cosplay world peace why even do MUN.

Gave up on MUN after sitting through a DISEC where the US, Russia, and China all decided to put their nuclear arsenals under UN control based out of Switzerland.

In dad news this is back on prime, so is a Jutland documentary

It's always fun to be reminded of just how small early private jets were.

Yeah, it was fun while it lasted.

Looks like a DJI inspire 2 or something similar

Ace Combat is actually pretty fun. Can't believe I didn't try it sooner tbh. There's something funny about having this near future scifi setting that co-evolved Mig-21s and F-104s

I think the word you're looking for is "awesome"

I'm so sick of all of *this*

I wonder even if you built it abroad but just did the software/flight systems in the US

05.09.2025 19:38 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

If you were to do it, it'd be pretty hard to go fully US based manufacturing and get any kind of scale/ be able to compete on price with DJI. But you'd think the government side would be willing to help subsidize the consumer end to build capacity.

05.09.2025 19:37 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

Skydio was all in on helping get DJI restricted in the US, but they don't even sell to consumers anymore!

05.09.2025 19:31 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

With the dominance of DJI in consumer drones, you'd really think it'd be an area ripe for innovation/competition. Maybe the market is too small. But especially since DJI drones aren't exactly easy to get anymore in the US someone would be working on it

I'd say maybe even the KC-46 but that whole program is a mess plus it's bigger than they probably need.

A P-8 derived platform seems like the natural choice- modern airframe, good range/endurance, more comfortable ride for the crew.

I'll admit I'm not fully up to speed on the program, but short of cost I find it hard to believe this is the best platform for the TACAMO mission.

The Americans were interested in them too.

Notice 'TRIDENT MISSILE TUBES'
