Opinion | America Is Pushing Its Workers Into Homelessness
The working homeless are casualties of our prosperity.
America's workers are not "falling" into homelessness.
They're being pushed.

When our systems fail. Housing instability and homelessness should never be the cause of family separation.
Would be really curious to compare this data to Tennessee's.
We have to do better.

Everyone seems to disagree with me about this, but *everything* the media doesβwhat to cover, what not to cover, how to frame a headline, etc.βis an editorial choice. There is no such thing as βneutrality,β and even if there were, covering something purely βneutrallyβ is an editorial choice, too.

Meet the Tennessee family behind the US Supreme Court's major transgender health care case
Tennessee's ban on medication and treatments for transgender youth goes before the U.S. Supreme Court on Dec. 4.
This morning, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments about Tennessee's ban on puberty blockers and hormone therapy for transgender teenagers.
At the center of the case is a Nashville teenager, L, and her parents, who sued the state last year. www.usatoday.com/story/news/p...

Sepulveda lists the districts with more renters than homeowners:
21, 17, 32, 5, 9, 13, 30, and 2.
She says every district has a lot of renters. "Renters are important, and they are also voters. Homeowners are not the only people that need to be heard."

A staggering statistic: Every $100 increase in median rent is associated with a *9 percent* increase in the estimated homelessness rate, according to a report by the U.S. Government Accountability Office.
The math of our housing crisis is brutally clear.
