The Times, discussing a former senior aide: "Hampshire has said he and Andrew held secret meetings with the King at Windsor Castle to discuss Andrew’s future finances."

The huge issue is what Charles knew about his brother's misconduct, when, and for how long he covered it up before taking action.

Life moves fast, and the people we love don’t always hear how much they mean to us. Take a moment to say something kind, send a thoughtful text, or offer a warm hug. Small words can leave a lasting glow. πŸ’›

You never know how much someone might need it today.

The new cathedral in Skopje is just glorious. Only consecrated in September, and they're still finishing painting some of the amazing frescoes.

KFC, Nando's, and others ditch chicken welfare pledge as demand soars Wingstop, Burger King, and others have walked away from an industry commitment to avoid using fast-growing chickens

When an industry shows it's willing to do the wrong thing to boost margins, the government needs to step in with regulatory action.

Chap at the hotel bar is recounting to his neighbour how he's been married five times - to women from England, Norway, Bosnia, Romania and the States.

He's close to having married a full general assembly of the UN...

Our guide on our Kosovo day trip yesterday talked about NATO's importance: "If KFOR left, Serbia would overrun us within 24 hours."

Proving his point, when I posted on FB about visiting a new country, a Serbian friend replied: "Kosovo is not a country, it is the Serbian southern province." FFS.

I've spoken at our profession's major global conference at 18 of the last 22 events, including quite a few keynotes. I always spend some extra time doing touristy stuff in the States.

I'm not going this year. I just don't want to visit the US at the moment.

A new study finds Israel’s assault on the Gaza Strip killed far more Palestinians than initially reported. Writing in The Lancet medical journal, researchers found there were over 75,000 violent deaths in the first 16 months of Israel’s assault.

To be fair, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor throwing Donald Trump under the bus in court would be a diplomatic chef’s kiss two hundred and fifty years in the making.

@republiccampaign.bsky.social As a member: step up. The monarchy is more vulnerable today than ever before. You need to be dominating social media and you seem to have gone AWOL.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but have we considered the possibility that the late Queen was not a particularly nice or good person

If Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is found dead before his trial, will it be suicide or more akin to the fate of Dr David Kelly?

For 22 years, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was one accident away from being our next head of state.

Let that sink in.

The hereditary principle is archaic and undemocratic, and must go.

The British republican movement needs to start consistently referring to the king as Charles Mountbatten-Windsor, just to make sure everyone realises the nonsense and dangers of the hereditary principle.

Never forget: Andrew was one accident away from being king.

Michael D. Higgins had twice the gravitas of Charles Mountbatten-Windsor.

Andrew held his position as trade envoy purely because he was the Queen's son.

Charles holds his position as head of state purely because he was the Queen's son.

Are people not spotting the link?

The hereditary principle is entirely incompatible with a modern democracy.
