Finally recovering after an amazing and intense #EPSA2025. It has been great to attend so many interesting panels, share my research and see so many good friends!

Women from lower socio-economic backgrounds face the most neglect, highlighting how class and gender biases compound political inequality.

🤔 Interestingly, having more left-wing governments or female representation in politics doesn't necessarily ensure better responsiveness to women's preferences.

What happens when men’s and women’s policy preferences diverge? Our analysis shows political elites tend to favor men’s preferences. The greater the disagreement, the more decisions align with what men want.

Descriptive evidence shows gender preference gaps across different types of public policies. Men and women disagree most on gender-specific policies (e.g., gender quotas in management or politics), which polarizes their preferences.
