The plain reality that Trump is **losing his mind,** and expressing in public the results of dementia-style grievances + hallucinations like this, is one of few aspects of his return that deserves much more attention than it has received.

It's funny thinking back to the argument that Dems couldn't get rid of the filibuster when they were in power because they'd miss it once the GOP was in power.

It gets worse! Many, many Democrats have opposed filibuster abolition on the grounds that they’d miss it when Republicans gained a trifecta and it wasn’t available to them anymore.

Now that Schumer and Dems have abjectly decided to cave, when they scream about the cuts that Musk and Trump continue to undertake in violation of *their own CR,* it will only sound all the more hollow. Great job all around, guys.

Quite something that Schumer had his NYT op-ed justifying his surrender ready to go tonight while not informing the public (including his constituents) of his plans. He seems to think this is just an old-school pr battle. He's never been more wrong.
