A cup of black coffee and a cinnamon roll in open foil. Both are on a forest bench
Gorgeous walk in the forest this afternoon. Took a flask of coffee and some cinnamon rolls that were still warm when we ate them. Small pleasures ❤️
(I love how you can see the sky and trees in the coffee 😊)

Four hours of lecturing to do today, and I'm losing my voice!
Hoping honey, lemon and hot water will do the trick 🤞

Front of Wonderland Bookshop obstructed with scaffolding.
It's the weekend! ❤️
We love Saturdays as we talk books with lots of people! Please don't forget, we ARE open despite the scaffolding. We'd love to see you, it's been a very quiet week with people swerving the scaffold, including our first ever zero day in the shop.
You can also order online! ❤️

New year's resolution: I am not supposed to be buying books until I have made a dent in my to-be-read pile...
I have managed 18 days and am thoroughly fed-up with the whole idea!
Literally addicted to books 📚🤣

I agree. A very brilliant, enthusiastic tech guy told us about work reports and emails we could produce using AI and how much time we can save. I still feel though that authenticity and integrity are compromised when an email from me and a report by me aren't really 'me' at all...

Tracy and daughter in winter outdoor clothes, smiling, the snowy rocks of Winnats Pass in the background. Both have frost clinging to their long hair.
The frozen hairdo! Only a week ago, but it seems like ages. I need to plan more adventures...

Image shows a paperback copy of Julia by Sandra Newman placed on a plain light wood desk.
Next up, Julia by Sandra Newman. Been waiting to get my hands on this one! I've read 1984 so many times, from my teens onwards, so I can't wait to see what this is like.
