It can feel good to tell people that you owe them nothing. It's a lot easier than being in community.

But saying this means buying into, and signaling to other people, the truth and legitimacy of the the atomized, commodified ultra-capitalist hellworld we live in now.

I've increasingly come to believe that the common attitude "the world owes you nothing, people owe you nothing" is anti social and anti human. I've become very skeptical of anyone, left or right, who espouses this view.
