As an 11 year old it was a real eye opener about how the wealthy lived 😂 my uncle worked for one of the airlines so he could occasionally get me bumped up. I was a polite minor, the flight attendants loved me.

I’m 35 and have been flying alone multiple times a year since age 7 (thanks divorced parents), it was so much nicer. I had my own row many many times. The food used to be much better even in coach. I got bumped up to first class a few times in the early 2000s and it was a delight. Fresh baked cookie

This seems rather bad— the Trump regime’s top officials are moving onto protected military bases.

I'm kind of dazzled by the idea that these whales (which are not the same as fish, biologically, I understand) were supposedly lured in by an NBA coach who has (to put it gently) never succeeded at that job and whose playing career inarguably peaked in 2004. That means that the mob (SHOULD THESE ALLEGATIONS PROVE TRUE) was ahead of the curve on identifying the allure of millennial early-century nostalgia. I would have loved to hear a low ranking mafia associate say to an acquaintance/accomplice: "This guy thinks he's going to come in here and take our money? Well call him Zooey Deschanel because that's just adorkable."

For one, the Hebrew says "the frog came up" - ONE frog - even though the rest of the time it says "frogs." So there are a few explanations rabbis have come up with to explain this. One is that a single frog multiplied to create swarms. A more creative explanation is that there was a singular giant frog who traveled and brought destruction. Jewish social media was sharing videos of the Portland Frog protester with the caption, "One Big Frog! One Big Frog!" Of course the frog protesters did multiply, and many were seen in crowds all over the world on "No Kings" Day. This calligraphic work takes the verses addressing the frog plague and combines them to form a simple rendering of the Portland Frog protester. The frog figure itself is made up of the English translations of the Hebrew around it. At the bottom left my signature is in the shape of a lily pad.

As soon as the Portland Frog became a meme, Jewish social media blew up with jokes about the 2nd Passover plague - tzefarde'a (frogs) - and the Rabbinical commentary around it. I knew I had to make a calligraphy piece encompassing all of it. (more in alt.)
