something that really bothers me about this sort of stuff is this framing that a person’s political ideology is an immutable characteristic. like, bud, you aren’t a conservative man because it’s an inborn trait! you could learn and grow and change—and not need to lie for women to interact with you!!

I found this group - stlmutualaid.org but tbh I don't know anything about them. volunteering at a food bank is also great! in my experience it's usually a similar thing, just often at a bigger scale/more connected to systems that mutual aid is trying to work outside of. but people still get to eat!
