I work in a primary school and I have to say English is much harder. I was always very good at English as a child but 8 year olds having to know what a fronted adverbial or relative clause is blows my mind. We just learned how to enjoy reading and how to write cracking stories. All the joy is gone.

Chris Philp on R4 today saying that if stop and search was used widely Williams would have been stopped. He then couldn't explain why he would have been stopped without saying it would have been purely because he was black. Fatuous Philp tying himself in racist knots AGAIN.

Well knife crime as a whole is going down and knife related homicide is down by 23% 2024/25. If people are feeling scared and disillusioned it's been RefUK are constantly talking this country down. The US has a much higher rate per million than we do and that doesn't factor in the guns on top.

So, for all those flag shaggers - some history. St George was born in Cappadocia part of modern Turkiye and was a high ranking Tribune in the Roman army. The red cross on a white background was originally the flag of Genoa adopted by UK in 1190 raised to keep ships safe in the med. All very English!

What these flag shaggers have done for their country is make ordinary decent folk feel sick when they see their flag flying. I know I do. Two of my local pubs are suddenly festooned with flags. I know where I won't be going.

As a Brit I am horrified at what is happening in "the land of the free". It is a stark reminder that we should not be complacent about democracy. It is such a fragile thing. Farage wants the same for our country and it terrifies me.

My mum rented out a flat for years. She totally relied on her letting agent to do everything - THAT'S WHAT SHE WAS PAYING THEM FOR. They collected the rent, got references, organised repairs, dealt with neighbour disputes, gave her statements for the tax man - this is such a desperate non story 🙄

All this constant talk about polls is ridiculous. We are 3.5 years away from an election. All the things Labour are quietly getting on with and all the corruption, incompetence and racism that Reform are loudly getting on with will be more in evidence come election time.
