What an absolute tragedy. Hopefully no one was hurt or killed.

Holy shit! Is this the bridge that had literal tourist attractions built in because of its height?

Saying that you care about veterans after laying off hundreds, of not thousands, of VA doctors and nurses, while fighting to cut SNAP (benefits that a large portion of veterans use) is just a hateful lie.

Bessent, like the rest of the GOP, can only lie. This isn't even a good lie. It's really not even a bad lie. It's a terrible lie. The vast majority of Americans have figured out what a tariff is, and know that those tariffs hurt them on a daily basis.

I guess as long as Tim gets a good night's sleep, it's worth it to allow the Trump administration the freedom to continue destroying the country. ๐Ÿ™„

I want to know which of Schumer's many donors called him to tell him to reopen the government. He didn't do this for the American people. He did this for a corporation, and I want to know which one.

Every day Trump outdoes himself in his open corruption. I shouldn't be shocked by it anymore, but somehow it's still surprising that he's able to break through that ceiling.

Primary ALL of them. If this is the general consensus, they don't need to be in office. The notion that we simply allow a bully to be a bully is insane, weak messaging.

Senate reaches deal on ending the shutdown Democrats are coalescing around a bipartisan agreement to fund the government.

"John Thune is promising Senate Democrats a vote in December to extend Affordable Care Act subsidies..."

This is how Democrats lose. You need to make these demands happen NOW! It's genuinely insane any Democratic politician has any trust left for the GOP at all.

Deal to end government shutdown in reach At least 10 Senate Democrats are expected to support a key procedural motion.

As low as my bar is for Democrats, they still constantly manage to disappoint me. There's absolutely no reason to trust Trump to follow ANY budget that's passed, or to do anything to help people. He's literally halting SNAP because he can, right now.

It's honestly shocking how little their messaging has to change to keep the base engaged. This is no only an obvious lie, but more embarrassingly, a lazy repeat.

Let's be clear, when the federal government cuts funding to renewable energy projects nation wide, they are directly impacting the price increase in state run grids.

Trump administration says Kilmar Abrego Garcia has received sufficient due process, asks judge to allow deportation to Liberia Kilmar Abrego Garcia's lawyers argued an interview conducted by a U.S. asylum officer last month did not amount to sufficient due process.

If you're wondering why Trump is so personally invested in making sure this deportation happens, it's simple. Fascism doesn't work if the gears of justice work against the fascist. Trump knows he needs to appear to have total control, and this failure exposes cracks.

In SNAP appeal, Trump administration says it faces more harm than people who can't buy food: ANALYSIS The Trump administration is appealing a federal judge's requirement that it make full November SNAP payments.

Trump's legal defense to his Supreme Court on why he shouldn't be forced to allow poor people the ability to eat food; because it hurts him personally.

It would seem I've been out of the "debate lord" circles for too long. I was unaware that modern tactics included blocking someone when they point out that you're using a logical fallacy incorrectly. Stay classy.

Accurately describing political positions is not a "No True Scotsman" fallacy. I asked for the names of people who were on the left politically, and was given a nonanswer that showed my exact conclusion. I'm not excluding people from the group based on unfavorable criteria, which is what's required.

This was the bottom line of Trump's response when he was asked what his thoughts were about the fact people will be paying more for groceries this Thanksgiving. He started by lying, claiming prices are down when they aren't, then capped it off with how he really feels. He's tired of poor people.
