The image is a quote saying:

People always speak of progress, of forging ahead, but if you move one of your legs forward, the other leg must be firmly planted on the ground. If you start moving both legs forward at the same time, you are not forging ahead; you are hopping.
I think the anxiety people suffer nowadays comes from a habit of making these precarious little hops instead of adopting a method of steady progress.
What I want to say is, I do not think your lifestyle will ever have true stability unless there is within it something that is unmoving and immovable.

Loved reading this book by Yamada Mumon Roshi, which I randomly found in a bookstore in Vienna.

Hi! Thanks for the reply! I already did that a few months ago, but it seems that nothing can be done as the package is not tracked and sent through normal mail. Probably it gets lost somewhere. That’s why I am looking for alternatives.

even with the help of the customer support from the magazine we weren't able to figure out where the issue was. In any case, I resubscribed to the physical edition, and if I still don't receive it now, I am looking for alternatives to get it. So, how can I get it in Bucharest, in Romania? #buddhism

Any European distributors for Tricycle Magazine (@tricyclemag.bsky.social) ? I was subscribed to the print edition for a long time, and suddenly a couple of years ago I stopped receiving it. I tried to find out why, but in the end I gave up because it felt like there was nothing I could do and

Looking at what Apple announced this year, it confirms once again that I made a good choice with iPhone 13 and I should stick to it, just like I've been doing for the last couple of years.

I'm using Kagi more, especially the "Small Web" feature. A long time ago - hundreds of internet years or 1000s of TikTok microtrends - there was a thing called "StumbleUpon" which I loved, as it was the best way to discover interesting things on the internet. "Small Web" feels exactly like that.

And I've seen a lot of these posts on Linkedin, so I still think you can easily detect which text is written by a human and which is written through an AI tool. There's some sort of an "uncanny valley", but for writing.

The idea is good (maybe? almost? not sure yet), but the comparison between world-building and software development, the use of emdashes, the premise etc. all of these seem forced and unnatural.

Three books, on top of each other. Two are for the B1 level of Spanish. The third book is β€œGramΓ‘tica bΓ‘sica del estudiante de espaΓ±ol A1-B2”. It features three wooden cubes on its cover, each with a letter written on it: on top there’s the letter G, middle is B, and on the bottom a wooden cube with the letter E.

My new Spanish books are here. Started re-learning Spanish last year, and my next class begins at the end of the month.

Fun fact: it helps me understand my own language better too, especially the grammar, which I never liked when I was in school.

I'm reading "Seven Pillars of Science", by John Gribbin, a small book, but packed with information. It made me think about the gaps that I have in my knowledge, how little we were taught - or how little I understood, or both - in school about chemistry, physics, biology etc. [1/2]

We had a few days of constant snowing, something that has become increasingly rare in Romania. On one evening, the park was full of people who were taking walks, playing, and just enjoying the snow. This is how the park looked like:
