a European robin standing on the end of a small branch, in dappled sunlight. there is a silver ring on its right leg
robin at #wwtslimbridge! I hardly had to edit this, the sun was glowing and he posed carefree right in front of the camera! ๐ชถ
I love how bold robins are, they truly do not fear us the way other birds do

a photo of a footpath with a canal on the left side on a sunny day. the path approaches a bridge in the distance. there are reeds where the canal meets the ground by the path.
a photo of a beanie hat on a bench, with my hand out holding an identical beanie hat. it is a sunny day and my shadow is visible
finally, a sunny day ๐ฎโ๐จ heard a raven and saw a few long-tailed tits. also saw my hat on a bench, until I reached for my head and realised I was still wearing it and someone else has lost an identical hat!

A White-throated Sparrow, a bird with a white belly, brown back and wings, and yellow in front of the eyes, oh and also the throat is indeed white

two nฤnฤs (also known as Hawaiian geese). one is slightly in front of the other and facing away from the camera
Two nฤnฤs at WWT Slimbridge! Native to Hawai'i, and the rarest goose in the world, at one point numbering only 30 birds due to hunting and introduced predators like mongoose, pigs, and cats. Decades of conservation efforts have helped reintroduce the nฤnฤ and native numbers are over 3,800 today ๐๐ชถ

Two Great Crested Grebes in breeding plumage are seen in profile facing each other in the centre of the frame, their heads slightly board and the tips of their bills touching as they swim on the calm waters of a reservoir. They are large waterbirds about 55cm long with dark brown wings and backs, lighter between sides, white breasts and throats, long necks, a fan of chestnut and black feathers framing each side of their faces, a small black crest, white faces with small reddish eyes and long slim pointed grey bills.
Spring was in the air at Walthamstow Wetlands in London yesterday, even if it did start hailing right after I saw these Great Crested Grebes canoodling. ๐ชถ
