My brain has been doing this thing lately where I watch the news, fully understand it & comprehend its import, but my brain just says ‘No. Nope. That is not happening.’ It’s like I’m trying to protect myself from it, but all it does is create this constant dissonance.

I think the best I have ever slept is when my mom took me to TPAC when I was 6 years old to see The Nutcracker. It was so warm and dark in there & my mom let me wear my rabbit coat - bad, I know, but MAN was it comfortable to sleep on. I remember waking up to clapping & feeling so refreshed.
