An unseasonably warm air mass will linger into midday Sunday in the Twin Cities.
It's a warm and windy Twin Cities Marathon this Sunday morning. π‘οΈπ
Temperatures at 7 a.m. will be in the low 70s. That's about 25 degrees warmer than the normal low of 46F!
But dew points will be in the 50s so at least it won't be super humid.

September warmth has pushed fall colors about 2 weeks later since 1970
Temperature records show September is one of the fastest warming months in Minnesota in the past 55 years. Thatβs pushing Minnesotaβs fall color change about 2 weeks later than in the 1960s.
This number made me do a double take today.
September in Minnesota is now 6 degrees warmer on average than in 1970. π‘οΈ
And fall colors peak ~ 2 weeks later.
