"Which do you agree with most?"

Growth/Creating jobs should be the top priority, even if the environment suffers some: 57% (+33)

Protecting the environment should be given priority, even if it causes slower economic growth/some loss of jobs: 35% (-32)

And he also had this to say:
People who care about climate change are “dreaming nostalgically about the past.” - Minister Hodgson
Patronizing indeed. And dead wrong!

Respect for your decision. Now we need to bury this project.

This is what it's come to. It is as if the government has climate change, biodiversity loss and indigenous relations amnesia.

Canada-Alberta Memorandum of Understanding PREFACE At this pivotal global moment, Canada and Alberta, working closely with Indigenous Peoples and industry, must work together cooperatively, and within their respective jurisdictions, to foster ...

Reading the MOU as a whole, there's an impression of policy in a time warp. Environmental commitments are fuzzy and down the road; Indigenous engagement amounts to financial inducements to go along with the state. It's as if nothing has been learned the last 15 years. www.pm.gc.ca/en/news/back...

Every academic / journalist should read the transcripts from the Standing Committee - they are demanding confidential personal data. They can't stand the concept of academic freedom!Unacceptable!

Any such request is not only unethical, it is a violation of privacy laws.

It’s tiresome to see American style attacks on EDI being taken up by Canadian politicians.

Equity, diversity and inclusion are hallmarks of Canadian society and should be celebrated and emulated.

Excellent work by Mariana and team! Wonderful to have such an incredible database that's shared to understand tundra dynamics.

Not to mention our twin threats, biodiversity loss and climate change. These are the most critical emergencies we face in Canada and globally!

We were there a couple of times during a recent visit to Perth. What a gem! But didn't see the elusive quenda unfortunately.

'Cute and an attractive' pollinator, crucial for food crops is the 2024 ABC Australian Insect of the Year The moth or the butterfly? The stick insect or the hoverfly? The beetle or the bee? Can you guess which is the inaugural ABC Australian Insect of the Year?

It's so excellent that Australia 🇦🇺 has an insect of the year. I think Canada 🇨🇦 needs this!

If you could choose, what would be your country's insect of the year?
