What a deplorable person. Would be nice if Labour helped enforce some of the hate speech laws – or indeed any sort of consequence for racism – might make others realise it’s completely unacceptable and inhumane.

I would like to see @rachaelmaskell.bsky.social as PM if she wants the job – she’s one of the few who have disobeyed Starmer in order to protect people and hasn’t backed down from doing so. She has morals and understands that for society to function cooperation and kindness is key.

Ableism and dehumanisation happen such a lot, it’s so wearing!

Halving paltry disabled benefits was galling. As was promoting false information that benefits claims had gone up when it was uncovered *after* the ‘welfare’ bill vote that there was no increase. The UN warned Labour were breaching human rights & would cause disabled people harm; they did it anyway.

What Labour stood for is no longer there and given Blair’s trajectory during and following office it seems like it’s been a mirage for a long time!

‘a new chronic illness emerging’ worries me:

a) LC is extremely similar to ME and we don’t yet know if LC is a subtype of ME caused by Covid-19. Just as we don’t know if viruses such as EBV and HHV-6 cause specific subtypes of ME

b) so many papers on LC ignore ME research that’s already been done
