A meme with a character from Watchmen whose name I canβt remember, saying: It is 1982. I am one year old. Tron bombs at the box office It is 2010. I am twenty-nine years old. Tron bombs at the box office It is 2025. I am fourty-four years old. Tron bombs at the box office
This meme made me laugh.

The US trade war & annexationist push against Canada. H/t @sueinnovates.bsky.social. Apparently, Americans are the victims. Missing, except for a vague comment: 10 months in, there is zero acknowledgement of political agency or the possibility of change on the US side.

01.10.2025 05:39 β π 5558 π 769 π¬ 21 π 77Farscape is very popular in US prisons It is one of the few shows that are on the free movie apps we would have on our tablets that had any decent story and production. It was very popular in the prison I was in because of that. Several times I was surprised by people who were big, gang affiliated, with a violent history and covered in tattoos and they were the biggest fans, on their 8th or 12th run of the show. Edit: Surprised by the reaction! So here's some more info: When I entered prison in early 2024, every single inmate was issued their own tablet. The tablet can make calls, texts to friends and family outside, play games and movies, etc. Everything on it you pay for monthly, except the games pass which lasts for a year. The tablets can differ though, in our city jail we had better tablets, those had better movies and you could buy real games like PokΓ©mon and Final Fantasy Tactics. The tablets you get in prison have games more akin to standard mobile games. Candy Crush was one of the free games every tablet had so that was a big topic of discussion as well. For 7.99 a month you get access to Crackle and all the stuff that comes with it, one of the things bring Farscape. Options being what they are on Crackle, Farscape definitely stands out if youre planning on spending a lot of your time on your tablet. There are little groups that discuss it in the library and around Halloween there were some goofy fucks making costumes from the show for a laugh.
Wanted to help this escape Reddit containment: Farscape is popular in prisons (and in my house.)
