New goal: join organizations determined to support local radio stations and emergency response, especially in rural areas. Any suggestions?

Yesterday, I spoke with nonprofit directors in a small town who said their organizations are losing so much funding that they are shutting down. Thus, employees are being laid off. It's a direct result of states not having funds to support them because of the elimination of federal funding.

Neguse: Only in Washington, D.C. could politicians come to the floor and brag about cutting $9 billion from rural radio stations while two weeks ago they voted to increase the deficit by $4 trillion. Spare us these lectures.
