Someone just pointed out that Slack's logo is 4 ducks sniffing each other's rears. I like it even more now. ๐คฃ

Last, but certainly not least, a profile of Half Dome. This is from Washburn Point, one of my favorite views. It's often quiet because everyone thinks they need to go to Glacier Point further down the road. (a different kind of amazing).
I hope you enjoyed my little trip around the Valley.
A black oak on a early fall afternoon framed by Cathedral Rocks.
In the fall, the Merced River is nearly still, which makes for great reflections like these branches and alder trees.
Path through the woods covered in yellow alder and cottonwood leaves.
Are you tired of Yosemite photos yet? I have a few more fall favorites. My favorite tip about visiting Yosemite - if you're able, go for a walk. Many of the trails are paved and safe for wheelchairs too. Just sit and enjoy the views big and small.
01.10.2025 20:50 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Looking west down the Merced River below Yosemite Valley. Silhouettes of burned pines look down on the silvery river as sun rays break through dark dark clouds. Endless layers of ridges lead west.
Two tourists enjoy the view of Half Dome from Washburn Point.
Soft light from clouds and snow on a rocky cliff. A few pine trees hang on where they can.
Half Dome appears to be spewing clouds - in reality this one cloud looked to be stuck in some sort of convection current and kept swirling in front of it.
The light is almost always changing, especially when clouds show up.
