The summer of 2016 I felt hounded constantly by misogyny. It was everywhere and in my face, perpetuated by so many people, including men that I had previously respected. It is why to this day I cannot quite trust any male Bernie Sanders supporters.

Every now and again I remember that the two main Trump campaign slogans were “Build That Wall” and “Lock Her Up”, and they were both so nakedly, aggressively racist and misogynistic, and the media to this day seems to pretend they weren’t.

This is why no one should ever pay attention to Democratic consultants ever again.

The Biden administration especially deserves so much blame. It’s amazing to me how well executed and genuinely good the domestic agenda was, completely eclipsed by the total moral and strategic failure of their handling of Gaza. There is no explanation that could possibly justify it.

Every day I hear a story like this, that is utterly soul shredding and horrific beyond expression, and while there are failures at every possible level, I will never forgive Democrats for how complicit and cowardly they were and are at using their power to do anything about it.

If the Democrats lose this messaging war, primary everyone. I want Dems to run who will make calling out pedophiles their ENTIRE platform. We have so much evidence, not the least of which is the President was buddies and business partners with the World's most famous pedophile.

It's telling that the fact he's been inconsistent about this over the years isn't cited as evidence for his guilt, but instead a menu for Trump's allies in the media to pick an excuse for that they find most plausible to avoid coming to the obvious conclusion (Trump fucked kids)

Another point that I bet is lifted from life is the main character’s ex making her feel bad about liking basic, girly shit, like Real Housewives and pink sparkles and pop music. Men out there, please don’t do this. Don’t make your wife or girlfriend feel bad about liking harmless, if vacuous stuff.

She has stated that the ex-boyfriend in the show was not lifted from life per se but I cannot help but think that the overarching interaction they had is. Especially his distance, meanness and dismissiveness, the obvious interest in other women who were model types, I bet anything that was him.

Watching and really enjoying Too Much and one of my big takeaways is that Jack Antonoff is probably a much bigger asshole than previously thought. Like, when he and Lena Dunham broke up the prevailing narrative was that it was inevitable because of how obnoxious she is but I bet he was also horrid.

Good start but honestly way too late. You don’t dignify nonsense from random cranks with a response. When it’s the goddamn President, you lead the charge and fight back!

Do any of them get more charismatic? Most of the time it just felt like hot people were reading a car manual woodenly to each other.

I am not watching one more of these things, let alone 5 of them. Do the rest of them have Ja Rule led soundtracks too?

Well I watched the whole thing and I do not share your enthusiasm for this franchise!

That’s the end?!? HOW did this become a culture dominating franchise? It was so bad and nothing interesting happened! It was just a bunch of Ja Rule songs! No one had any appeal or chemistry! No one was fun to watch! I did not care about anything that happened!

If the result of Jesse’s race with Johnny Tran was that he had to fork over his car, why didn’t Johnny just go get it? Why did he shoot it instead? Seems a waste but then again maybe he just likes shooting cars since that’s like 40% of his screen time in this movie.

In a movie full of people who cannot act, Jesse stands apart as the worst of them all. Chef’s kiss. And RIP, I guess.

The scene where Vince has a serious arm injury so they do a tourniquet using a studded leather belt while he is coughing loudly (why?!) in a mesh tank that he was wearing to rob a truck so perfectly encapsulates how this movie relies entirely on style over substance, and the style is really bad.

So Vin Diesel was stealing the DVD players?

Cannot for the life of me understand the appeal of Mia. She’s pretty I guess? Must be a demon in the sack because otherwise I can’t fathom throwing away your career in law enforcement to be with her and her boring ass, mean friend group.

Seems like whoever has the magic rocket button in their car wins and that just comes down to who can pay for it? Once again whoever spends the most money wins even in underground racing, capitalism is inescapable.

This Michelle Rodriguez/Vin Diesel sex scene is the most awkward and least sexual thing I have ever seen in my life. Are they supposed to actually be involved? Or in love? Seems impossible.

I can’t follow the why of the cops being involved at this scale. Is it because Johnny Tran stole a bunch of DVD players? Or was that Johnny Tran? Is it because of gangs or street racing? I have completely forgotten.

Something tells me Paul Walker is going to drive the car that Vin Diesel is so tender about for race wars. Accompanied by a massive trauma dump from Vin Diesel which is definitely going to figure into the visible-from-a-mile-away change of allegiance that is coming for Paul Walker’s character.

The amount of Von Dutch in this movie, my god. Really shocked I haven’t heard that god awful Crazy Town song, this movie is precisely the vibe.

How do the cops have the budget to rent out this historically and architecturally significant house in LA?

It seems so wrong that they keep referring to their little rivalry as “race wars” especially since a bunch of them are Asian.
