Classic older camera problem, the slower speeds don't like to work. At this point I think I might just run shutter priority on all my vintage cameras 😅

Where did you send the cameras? I've spent the weekend contacting shops and 8 have told me they don't service older 35mm cameras anymore 😭

I spent all weekend trying to research mail in repair shops for my old film cameras. Sent off about 15 emails and 8 responded and said we don't do that anymore 😭

How hard was it to fix? No one will service my voigtlander Vito ii I'm considering trying to myself 😭

"college prep" English in 11th grade consisted of reading to kill a mockingbird out loud in class then watching the movie. When I go to college not only did I not know how to study but I found out many of my classmates read TKAM in 5th grade / middle school.

Favorite English teacher in my rural HS summed it up pretty good the last year b4 she retired. "Admin doesn't want sports kids to have homework so I can't assign books anymore only worksheet packets" went on to say they figure why have you kids learn when you'll only be good for manual labor...

Ok I feel very validated by this. I spent all day Saturday looking for repair shops that are actually even still open. Saturday night I felt like I had a good list and sent them all emails. Of the dozen places I've emailed 8 have got back with me today that they don't service old film cameras 😭

I've been trying to look for vintage camera CLA services all weekend do you still have that list on hand 😅

Circ at my local library told me new books have been splitting and coming apart more often. I asked after a brand new hardback was already cracking. Can't help but wonder if it's all connected...

No one fact checked him so this phonetic spelling of Paulding is cited in a lot of different places. We got a new band teacher from Columbus one year and he yelled at us for saying our name wrong in our fight song (pauldine) We said nobody says paul-DING and here James Purdy proves that 🤣
