Looks like the median household income is in the low 80s nowadays, from a quick Google search. If you need a snappy graphic, 50th percentile seems like a reasonable choice!

Letting the health care tax credits expire would devastate American families — and we’re making that crystal clear by giving you the data.

We’ve built graphics showing how much costs would rise in every GOP district.

Let’s start with Mike Johnson (R-LA):

One of the ways that LLM-authored code improves productivity is by merely SAYING it does things. It's way faster than the whole time-consuming process of actually doing things. This is real code someone sent to me for review.
A screenshot of a code editor. The line numbers are in the lefthand column, running from 121 to 125. There is a comment that says "Verify packages were created and check sizes" Then line 123 says echo Verifying Lambda packages were created... and Line 124 says echo checkmark emoji colon All Lambda packages verified successfully. There is no line in here that actually did anything.

If someone asked me how many years ago 2010 was, and I say 14.68, and they ask what I mean, and I say because that's how many year-units have passed since 12/31/24 - they would acknowledge that's technically correct but also that I'm a giant tool.

Each day, they could just discuss the details of one (1) former Republican who was arrested for sex trafficking, pedophilia, or some related scandal.

If they're going to shut down Congress for this, fill the silence with these news stories. Make it unavoidable.

There’s a lot to do if/when we get past all *this*, but a requirement to run as a Democrat should be support for codifying Bivens.

(If federal officials deprive you of clearly established constitutional rights, you should have the same remedies as when Georgia or Utah officials do. Winning issue.)

I once told my former supervisor that I try to pronounce her last name (Hernandez) the way she would (silent H, tall a sound, etc) when introducing our work in talks and she seemed genuinely surprised and touched. Making people feel good feels good and I wish that wasn't a hot take for so many folks

I mean, I fully missed the hotel sign until I saw another comment pointing it out, the exact city would have been impossible for me to guess. Still a good game to play with oblivious people like me!

If you repeat the phrase "Medicaid work requirements" — even if you think you're being clever with something like "medicaid work requirements don't work" — you're helping MAGA destroy Medicaid. Don't repeat their disinformation frame.

Instead, reframe: Medicaid Job Loss Penalty
