Yes maybe the SNP should start standing in England π₯΄
07.02.2026 00:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Whilst utterly tragic, almost a quarter of Scotland supporting what is basically a hard right wing English Nationalist party, is actually quite hilarious.
07.02.2026 00:19 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think itβs great that she visited Glyndebourne .
As Iβve said, I think sheβs totally unsuitable to hold the office of Prime Minister of the UK for various & numerous reasons including her lack of education .
As a Labour member I would not vote for her . Others would . Thatβs democracy .
I didnβt call her βthickβ, I called her uneducated, which she is .
Your own PM Sanchez has a doctorate in Economics .
John Prescott, with whom many compare Rayner also left school at 16, many working class people did but studied for a degree later in life . Education is important .
Many apologies for my typo and I thank you for bringing it to my attention.
Youβre of course entitled to your opinion as to Raynerβs suitability, as am I as to her lack thereof .
Assuming youβre a Labour member, then youβll be able to vote for her if she does make a bid . I shall not .

06.02.2026 21:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0No because sheβs uneducated, course, uncouth and would embarrass Britain on the global stage.
Her gender is irrelevant .
The main parts of their manifesto were about Brexit, cutting taxes and stopping the boats.
Johnson broke the manifesto by increasing NI (for which he was attacked) .
Truss & Sunak cut taxes (Truss to disastrous effect) and although they failed to stop the boats they did not dump the manifesto
Rayner clearly positioning herself for a leadership bid . βHer peopleβ are also attacking Streeting, claiming that he was very close to Mandelson.
She has many qualities but sheβs totally unfit to be PM.
Angela Rayner βtold Keir Starmer not to appoint Mandelsonβ

No youβre correct heβs a Colonel in the Royal Marines Reserve but many people lazily think this is part of the Army rather than Navy
06.02.2026 12:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The new leader should by all means write a new manifesto for the next general election which they can call whenever they like .
If they try to do so before then the Lords will be quite entitled to force him or her to use the Parliament act which will hold up legislation for well over a year
Better to make someone who could cross the abyss in the morning then go back and climb Everest, Prime Minister ππ¬π§

Whoever takes over MUST pledge to honour this βiron cladβ manifesto promise . www.itv.com/news/2025-04...
06.02.2026 10:58 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβve been a Starmer supporter, but Iβm afraid that i agree that he must go .
The most important thing is that we do not allow the party to move to the left .
The manifesto promised that we would stick to the fiscal rules. If not, there will almost certainly be a bond crisis & run on sterling
Mike Tapp is one of the best MPs & ministers of the 2024 and will hopefully be promoted by Starmerβs successor .
Itβs a great shame that heβs having to go out to sully himself by defending McSweeney and No 10 #R4today
It might well however end up torally broken if god forbid, (but increasingly likely) Farage and his cronies run it for 5 years from 2029 π«£
05.02.2026 23:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I didnβt let anyone in . I have one vote like everyone else and have never held office within any political party .
The blue in βBlue Labourβ doesnβt refer to βToryβ it refers to blue collar . Iβve got the utmost respect for people who do blue collar jobs, but thatβs far from my background/culture
My only regret is that the so called βpurgeβ of the hard left didnβt go further and happen under Blair, so that Corbyn and his toxic cronies could have been prevented from seizing control of the party .
05.02.2026 23:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Quite extraordinary that a party with 400 MPs doesnβt have at least several potential successors, but I guess itβs a mark of being out of power for 14 years and the catastrophe of the Corbyn years .
What a mess
Not now please potential nuclear war .
Weβve got enough problems right now thanks .

Steve Reid putting up a fierce defence of Starmer and his Chief of Staff. Starmer clearly plans on βtoughing it outβ .
If Burnham had been selected for Gorton and won it I imagine that he would be PM by the end of March.
What a mess #R4today
Maybe another time . Iβm off for a drink and dinner now . Pleasant politely chatting/debating with you, although we clearly donβt agree . Have a good evening
04.02.2026 19:44 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0To me itβs imperstive that we donβt turn to the left economically . Time will tell β¦.
04.02.2026 19:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I agree about Carns inexperience, but you donβt get to be a colonel in the marines without excellent leadership qualities . My understanding is that heβs a centrist.
I hope that the leadership election doesnβt lead to Labour tearing itself apart again but fear that it might .
My main requirements are that the next leader is a centrist, a good communicator/leader, prepared to spend on defence, fiscally conservative and able to take the fight to Farage .
Iβm open to voting for anyone who meets those criteria . It might even be that we have to go for someone like Al Carns
Itβs certainly going to be an interesting leadership debate . May the best man or woman win π
04.02.2026 18:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I disagree, but it will be interesting to see how the (inevitable) leadership debate plays out . My favoured candidate (despite his small majority) is Wes or maybe Mahmood . Yours might well be different I imagine, which is fine π
04.02.2026 17:34 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The fiscal rules are not βself imposedβ or foolish . They are a requirement of the bond markets .
Any leader who thinks otherwise will rightly suffer the same fate as Truss
If a country doesnβt want to be βin hockβ to the bond markets thatβs fine, but not when it has borrowed almost Β£3 trillion
They can shout all they like . There wonβt be a general election anymore than there was when Cameron, May then Boris & Truss stood down .
04.02.2026 15:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thankfully it was reported in the Sunday Times at the weekend that Rayner still hasnβt finalised her tax affairs and is still waiting to hear whether she is to be fined .
This apparently could take several months
