This was a great episode. The questions were good, and I really loved the answered y’all gave. I particularly loved the advice y’all provided as a rebuttal to cynicism, nihilism, etc. It was genuinely inspirational and uplifting. We’ve got to keep fighting.

how you respond to the illegal kidnapping of a lawful permanent resident is a pretty good litmus test for your politics and principles. do they extend to someone you view as in the out-group? do you actually believe in the whole "disagree with you but will defend your right to speak?"

2. OMG Harvard is NOT “the soul of higher education” & its crises pale in comparison—“pale” feels too weak a word— to what state, regional, & community colleges—ie the actual soul of US higher ed—face
