It would be great to hear how taxes compare in nearby munis. StP has unique problems to wrangle with but I’d imagine all cities are getting squeezed in today’s economy. Did Mary say where she’ll move to next when her taxes go up in SStp?

I doubt they can be turned against him. Maybe likeliest option is demoralize them. Miller for example must be demoralized by the new deportation policy. If deportation slows will he leave? If Trump admin fails on key issues they are disempowered and become apathetic nonvoters.

I've got a chapter on him and the battle between the state fairs in my book coming out this winter! Interesting guy. Really shaped early Minneapolis, I think.
