One of my favorite cross stitch designers is doing a stitchalong based on W.E.B. DuBois's data visualizations from the 1900 Paris Exhibition in February! I made her first piece based on the visualizations and thought it was a great project. 🧶

They did such a brilliant job! I watched it with C (spouse), who wasn't at all familiar with the story, and we both loved it.

I don't really do New Year's goals and whatnot, but think how much more manga I'd read if I read just one volume per week (that wasn't for work).

(Okay, it's hard to do "just think how much...!" when it would obviously be 52 more volumes each year. But still.)

The Hikaru no Go drama was SO GOOD. (It made me buy all the volumes of the manga I was missing, and I still haven't actually read the whole series, but at least now I have it all and *can* read it.)

God it was lovely to watch Heated Rivalry and see a TV show using sex (good sex! not miserable, punishing sex that everyone hates!) to advance the story and character development. storytelling through sex is so fun and so good when it's good, and there are so many ways to fuck it up. I love romance.

I love my Maya Kern skirts! They're very pretty and flowy, amazing colours. The company could use a boost right now so if you were thinking of buying one, please go for it. They use ethical labour practices, environmentally friendly materials, and art by people who are properly compensated!

I also opted for a daily-countdown Advent candle rather than a wreath for counting down the four Sundays, even though the latter is 100% how I *think* of Advent.

I'm enjoying seeing/reading about so many people's Advent calendars (or similar)! C and I both have chocolate ones. Mine is from a local chocolatier so good that I got it knowing there're several with alcohol in there (so very not my thing), and C's is an all-booze-filled European one.

Good thing my plans for post-Dayjob freelance work are basically just "read this script", because Sinha has placed himself on my lap in a way that is really not conducive to actually typing. ^^;
