Another point of note is that BBC Three has no live Glasto coverage this year, although they do have a highlights show later in the week.

Silly man who likes TV idents or smth idk

24.06.2025 14:48 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Advert with an easy 'find the thing' grid, promising ยฃ11,500 in prize money. Total cost of the call could be as high as ยฃ9.60.
Very dodgy 'advert' is on ITV1 between Tipping Point and The Chase. Even by premium-rate 'quiz' lines, yikes. ยฃ9.60. surely this being on post-school pre-watershed ITV is something for Ofcom?
23.06.2025 16:03 โ ๐ 25 ๐ 7 ๐ฌ 10 ๐ 2It's quite a bad problem with Channel 4 as well, tomorrow night they are showing three wall-to-wall hours of Location Location Location from 8pm until 11pm, the excuse being that it is 25 years since the first edition.
13.05.2025 19:10 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Sadly there is one coming to the BBC later this year, "Stranded on Honeymoon Island", from the creators of the insipid Married at First Sight.
13.05.2025 19:05 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Fox in particular has gone very heavy on gameshows, what with their snatching of The Weakest Link and 99 to Beat, as well as The Floor and The 1% Club.
12.05.2025 21:18 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0My assumption will be the afternoon and evening gameshow blocks will be transplanted onto ITV Quiz, with those spare hours used for The Real Housewives of Wherever, and possibly a few more of the US dramas from the 90s/00s they seem to like at the moment.
18.04.2025 12:44 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Whilst it will probably do well, I think it isn't the greatest idea to announce it so soon after Adolescence, which was also very bleak.
It doesn't help that a lot of the big entertainment shows are reality shows rooted in drama and negativity (i.e. Big Brother, Married at First Sight)
Channel 4 always seems to give all the best promotion to the least deserving shows. The Honesty Box sounds like yet another attempt to create a show in the vein of MAFS.
07.04.2025 09:33 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I do wish we would still see new US content on C4 and C5 in that 10pm slot, at one point it was common to see the likes of CSI, Lost, Desperate Housewives, House and ER on those channels at that time.
Nowadays it is just random repeats of Gogglebox or disposable true crime.
Fabricant isn't even a well-known name like Hancock or Farage. I think they would be better off putting their celebrity budget towards I'm a Celeb, adding another three weeks to the main show, and using the CBB period to launch new reality shows onto the ITV schedule.
02.04.2025 18:32 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I wonder if it would be worth ITV shifting their news to 12.30 and putting Loose Women against the news, or even to midday with a half hour lunchtime news, reducing This Morning back down to 2 hours.
13.03.2025 13:33 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0There is hardly much of a need for two themes, it gets confusing (see also Love Island's 3 tunes). Agree the proper theme is better and if they really want to signal a new era for the show, it should be back at the star.
22.02.2025 19:45 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0They have been making a notable push into adult cartoons (including the aforementioned Hazbin and Invincible) so I expect far more of those. A James Bond series is pretty much inevitable too, and they will probably try and milk Gen V for as long as they can.
21.02.2025 01:24 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0My guess is post-Neighbours Prime Video will probably go down a testosterone-fuelled route of gritty dramas and raunchy comedies, along the lines of their golden geese The Boys, Fallout, Hazbin Hotel and Invincible.
21.02.2025 01:23 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It's sleek, smart and timeless. Looks every bit as good as it did then.
13.02.2025 20:00 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I have always liked the Robertson Brothers version. Whilst it is definitely very much of it's time, it is an upbeat take on the song, it's catchy, and it does still sound good today. A new theme resembling it would be welcomed.
06.02.2025 21:50 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I can't get past the way the melody is messed around with. The titles themselves don't feel like a promo for H&A, but moreso a reality dating show.
06.02.2025 20:09 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Casualty? That late? On a Wednesday? Must have been a repeat I reckon.
05.02.2025 20:36 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I think they will most likely cut the news back down again and plump The Chase at 7, with DOND at 5 and Tipping Point or Lingo at 4, perhaps with an hour long News at Ten to make up for less of the 6.30. Not my ideal outcome, but the most likely knowing ITV.
04.02.2025 16:20 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Thief Takers appeared to be Carlton's way of getting back at The Bill. Funnily enough, Irish viewers had gotten ER before the UK did, starting on RTร in November 1994.
01.02.2025 21:18 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0They seem to have drastically ramped up the amount of ad interruptions over the last few days, I get them every 4 videos at most. Doesn't help it is (for me) always either Hotels .com, Airbnb and, for some reason, Nick Jr.
22.01.2025 08:08 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Manchester City match is on. Would probably be shoved to BBC Two if it was anyone else.
05.01.2025 16:40 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0When my daughter was born in '94, my ex-MIL gave us some blankets. One day, I took one out only to find a fucking Pan Am logo on it. Ex-MIL lived 15 miles from #Lockerbie and had picked up the blanket from her garden, kept it and decided it would be a *marvellous* gift for her granddaughter's cot.
02.01.2025 21:04 โ ๐ 146 ๐ 43 ๐ฌ 34 ๐ 17Escape to the Country, celebrity or not, should stay at 3 o'clock where it deserves to be (and 97% of the time is, either there or 2.45 or 3.15, which practically amounts to the same thing)

31.12.2024 13:58 โ ๐ 151 ๐ 36 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 3Probably them trying to strip the show of humour to allow for it to sell better worldwide and on streaming. Sitcoms in general struggle to surface now for this exact reason.
26.12.2024 23:31 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Motherland, a revived show or two, Here We Go and a couple new shows would make for a much stronger comedy stable through the year, think there is too much reliance on comedy drama this day and age
26.12.2024 20:13 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I think Sarah Hadland's participation on Strictly this year might be them readying the audience for a potential Miranda reboot, hopefully some new sitcoms eventually pop up too.
26.12.2024 19:48 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I could see a Red Dwarf special being a festive hook to BBC2 on Xmas Eve or Boxing Day if BBC1 wanted to go more Sunday-esque, BBC1 has only ever shown it once I believe, I suppose a late night repeat would be most likely.
26.12.2024 15:02 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I definitely see a future in Outnumbered after the special, either with more specials or possibly a new series. The BBC's head of comedy did mention he wants more pure sitcoms, so hopefully something will click in the way G&S did.
