Proposed location for ICE facility in Merrimack sits within PFAS contamination zone
Many Merrimack residents have long faced issues with chemical pollution in their drinking water.
Merrimack, NH:
"Testing of a groundwater sample from a well near the warehouse [site of proposed Trump prison camp] in 2021 found PFOA present at 109 parts per trillion. Thatβs far higher than the state standard for PFOA in drinking water of 12 parts per trillion..."

What I Saw at a Maternity Ward in Kenya After the U.S. Cut Off Food and Foreign Aid
Photographs tell a story of two mothers determined to help their babies gain enough weight to leave the hospital β only to face little to no food again.
A maternity ward doctor donated his own blood during surgery to keep a pregnant patient alive.
One woman gained fewer than 10 pounds over her entire pregnancy.
Another collapsed and had seizures during labor.

ICE unlawfully arrested & detained RΓΌmeysa ΓztΓΌrk after she co-wrote a pro-Palestinian op-ed as a PhD student. Her recent op-ed reveals the trauma she faced.

ICE Ruses - Immigrant Defense Project
Learn more about ICE's use of ruses in investigating and arresting non-citizens.
I post the above not to downplay what ICE is doing but to emphasize that βICE rusesβ are nothing new. In fact, that ICE is using them is arguably a sign that the agency is shifting away from the more aggro Bovino-style tactics and back to their old ones.
This fact sheet is a decade old!

11 years ago I had a client who was arrested after ICE agents pretending to be police convinced his 16-year-old niece that they wanted to talk to him about another man who had supposedly stolen her uncleβs identity. At their urging, she called him home from work, and he was arrested. She felt awful.

House Democrats try to shut down disruptions at Trump's State of the Union
Jeffries told his members to either show "silent defiance" or boycott the speech.
Trump is in the Epstein files thousands of times, he is shredding the first amendment, he is brazenly corrupt, he is opening concentration camps in their districts, and he is starting an unprovoked war with Iran. WHY WOULD YOU NOT DISRUPT THE STATE OF THE UNION.
The whole D leadership needs to go.

From the attorney side, there is literally no benefit to representing the Trump administration. Theyβre not going to give you the information you need to do your job, theyβre as likely to ignore court orders as they are to obey them, and theyβre happy to leave you (the attorney) out to dry.

CONTEMPT FINDING: Matthew Isihara apologized for allowing the order in this habeas case to "fall through the cracks." Blamed situation on case overload & significant understaffing in US Attorney's office. Says he has picked up nearly 130 habeas cases in just last month.
@FOX9
1. DHS surges 3,000 officers to Minneapolis without doing anywhere near enough prep first.
2. Hundreds of habeas cases overwhelm local courts.
3. Dozens of DOJ lawyers quit in disgust/anger.
4. The DOJ brings in JAGs to cover.
5. A JAG was just held in contempt and fined $500/day for ICE's failures.
